Size and Colour

Ascidia glabra individuals are long and fairly narrow. They can measure up to 7cm long and 1.5 cm wide but most of the one collected on Heron Island were quite small (about 2-3 cm long and 0.5-0.7 cm at the widest) (Kott, 1985).

Ascidians all have a test, which in the case of A. glabra is translucent with a wax yellow to citron yellow colouration (Kott, 1985).
